A Secret Service agent died Tuesday after suffering a stroke while on duty in Scotland. 

Secret Service Special Agent Nole Edward Remagen had worked for the agency for 19 years. Most recently, he was an agent in the Presidential Protection Division.

The president and first lady were at Joint Base Andrews on Wednesday afternoon to pay their respects to his family as his body was returned to the U.S. 

Remagen leaves behind a wife and two young children.
