Amazon announced it has invested $100 million in Mexico.

The money, according to the company, went to new facilities including warehouses and shipping centers.

Amazon also says those facilities created 1,500 new jobs. 

It has been trying to expand its presence in Latin America, particularly in Mexico and Brazil.
